Hi friends,in this post I am sharing how to install wordpress in 000webhost.000 webhosting is offering free hosting 1.5gb space with limited features.But it is worth which give us chance to learn webhosting basics.
- First goto wordpress.org and download latest version with .tar.gz format .Because file size is smaller and file size maximum is 5mb for uploading to 000webhost.Zip format exceed this limit and shows error.You can extract wordpress and can upload one by one but it istime consumiing.So upload tar files
- Goto 000webhost.com create an account by choosing a sub domain and goto cpanel like below.
- Just goto your website url and have a look it will display like below
- It shows your website is running and ask to remove default.php
- Return to cpanel account and click file manager.
- It will ask to enter password just use your account password ,username will be created automatically for you and click continue
- Click public html
- You can find default.php.Delete this file by checking tick on default.php and at top right side you have the option delete
- You will be asked to confirm delete by clicking green tick
- Again return to directory by clicking blue arrow.
- Next in public html directory click upload
- Upload wordpress file which was downloaded in .tar.gz (don’t extract upload .tar.gz fully)and click green icon
- Check uploading % like below image
- It will displayed all files loaded ok.Click blue arrow to return directory.Then just see the website you will get like below.
- Click wordpress it asks to create a config.php file.
This is due to we have not written database correct.Another problem index of, we will see how to solve these things in further posts.
